Do you remember the stack of fabric that I scored a while back? I picked out a navy and an aqua to pair together for this project (I used this tutorial that I found online).
Using the measurements in the tutorial, I cut out this piece and used it as a pattern to cut out four more pieces (two of each color).
I sewed the outside of the aqua pieces together and then the outside of the navy pieces–creating two bags. When you are finished, this bag will be reversible–how fun is that?
I stuffed one inside of the other (right sides together) and sewed them together, leaving the very top of the handles open.
Using one of the openings, I pulled the bags right side out. It will look like two different bags that are attached.
I stuffed one bag inside of the other. Then, I folded one handle under about an inch (to give it a clean line), placed the other handle inside, and sewed them together.
I really love this. I know I say this from time to time, but this really is my favorite project, yet.
Enjoying the Good Life,
Kendra

Awesome! It looks perfect for a bag to throw my keys and a couple of books in.

I’m needing a new gym bag. I think I could use your design, but make it just a smidge wider. This bag is so cute! Thank you! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
