Stamping Fabric

I’ve seen a few places online where people are stamping their own fabric. And, taking it up a diy notch, I’ve seen people create their own stamps, too! Check and check. I knew I wanted a geometric/artsy pattern and I’m happy with the way it turned out.

To create the stamp, I cut my shape out of craft foam and glued a little wood piece to it–bazinga. Easy, right?

A friend’s mom was donating fabric from her craft room to Goodwill and I picked up a few pieces. This is just simple white cotton and I love the contrast. You could use fabric paint if you wanted to, but I just used black acrylic paint in a paper plate for stamping. I think the key is to not put it on too thick. I like the variation between each triangle.

Have you ever tried anything like this? Do share.

Enjoying the Good Life,

  1. Hi Kendra! So glad you wrote this post! I love to do things myself, sometimes the hard way! But the end results are very worth it! Your tutorial is very simple and the results are great! Thanks for the inspiration! Blessings from Bama!
