I have always loved overalls! Truly. I think they are adorable! They are versatile. They go with everything. You can dress them up or down and they have pockets! When I’m taking the kids out by myself, I can greatly appreciate a great pocket.
So, you can imagine my excitement as they come back in style. Everywhere I turn they are popping up in stores and looking oh, so adorable.
But when I was shopping at a department store recently (which is rare for me!), I saw a pair fo my little girl for $30. I was shocked! $30! I knew I did not want to pay that much for a pair for her, so I knew exactly what I would do…I see them at thrift stores all the time so I would start looking there!
Sure enough, on one of my Goodwill visits, there they were…TWO dollars instead of $30!
I immediately took them home, threw them in the washing machine and tried them on her to see where I would need to cut them off.
After cutting them off, I put them in the dryer so they would fray a little on the edges and they were perfect! I folded the edge on the outside and she was set.
I pulled out my old pair from high school that I had cut off a long time ago (actually for a farm themed bulletin board when I was a teacher!) and she loved that we matched!
Plus, these are just as cute for a TINY fraction of the price at the department store!
