Recently, my husband told me that when I work on a project, I shouldn’t just paint it, I should make it my own. Seriously, good advice. I think it was just the nudge I needed to take my projects up a notch. Don’t get me wrong–sometimes, all you need is a fresh coat of paint. But, it’s nice to really make it your own.

These candlesticks are my first attempt at his advice and I’m such a fan. Sometimes, I put my projects in my Etsy shop, or I donate them back. But, these? These are keepers.
