Do you ever see a piece of furniture that just makes your breath catch in your chest? The sight of this coffee table left me as giddy as a 12 year old girl with a crush. I have a weakness for furniture in need of a face lift and this table really only required minimal work. And, at $7.99, who could resist? Hello, beautiful…
I also found this wooden tray with metal corners ($4.99). Trays are the perfect way to organize loose items (keys, glasses, channel changers, etc.) in a chic and simplistic style.
To start, I taped the metal corners of the tray with painter’s tape and primed both the tray and the coffee table with a spray primer by Valspar (already on hand). Some furniture is better refinished with a brush, but I opted for spray paint because I felt that it would be an easier coverage due to the texture and details of this particular table. I forgot to take a picture of the tray during the “primed phase.” Oh, snap.
Next, I sprayed the table with Medium Gray (glossy) by Valspar. I love how the gloss really takes it up a notch. I sprayed the tray Jade (satin) by Krylon. Isn’t Jade the most perfect color? I purchased the Krylon spray paint from Michaels with a 40% off coupon (I can almost always find one online).
And, 24 hours later…
Imagine me dancing around my living room and singing “Walking on Sunshine.” Yeah, that happened. I told you that I get excited!
What projects are you working on, using Goodwill purchases? Shared creativity is a great source for inspiration and I would love to start posting some of your projects on the blog!
Enjoying The Good Life,
Kendra
