My name is Shanika Pichey and you can find me over on my personal blog, Life is Pichey, where I talk about the latest clothes I’ve made, recipes, books, or anything else that comes to mind.
I’ve always loved a good bargain, but as I got older I started to become more conscious of items I bought and how they were made. My personal style has changed as well, so if I am not making something for myself I like to find unique, well-made pieces.
On some trips to Goodwill, I have a specific plan in mind (of what I need to get). Other times I just browse and see if I luck out.
So…Let’s go shopping!
This view can get a little overwhelming but with some patience (and digging), gems can be found.
A lot of times when people hear “thrift” they tend to think “cheap” or “worn down.” Fortunately, that attitude is changing; especially when you find clothes that still have their tags on them.
Also, expensive tastes do not have to be expensive.
I’m kicking myself for not getting this curtain panel. They would have made for some cute pants.
This set would be a great addition to any table scape. It screams THANKSGIVING!
Before there was Pinterest. Old cookbooks like these are great finds! Who doesn’t still use tips and tricks (while cooking) that were passed down from generation to generation?
I did get these wooden bowls. While they were most likely used for eating, I plan to use them as props and storage.
I loved the structure of this top. I instantly thought “Skinny jeans and booties!” I had to have it.
The dresses are gorgeous as is but if you like to get creative, the possibilities are endless!
