Handmade Holiday: Old Fashioned Milk Bottle

How cute is this milk bottle? I bought it at Goodwill, but the bottom of the bottle says that it’s from Target.

I think it would be a great gift, as is, but I decided to personalize it a bit.

Using a Sharpie pen, I drew my design on the bottle. You could draw whatever, I just felt inclined to draw No.4. This would work for someone whose favorite number is 4, has 4 kids, just moved into their 4th house, etc. It could really be anything–numbers, letters, a design–just personalize it for the person you are gifting it to.

Then, I went over it with acrylic paint and a Sharpie.

So simple.

I really like the way it turned out. And, guess what? The white cap is rubber–it pops right off! Wouldn’t this bottle make a great vase? It’s pretty much begging for some daisies. : )

Have a lovely day!

Enjoying the Good Life,
