Guest Post by Knee Deep in Lovely

I’m so excited to be a guest blogger here! I love thrifting and I can’t figure out if it’s because I’m cool or because I’m cheap. (Let’s be real: it’s ’cause I’m cheap.)I am that person that shops with her hands. Wait, duh. What I mean is that I like to feel things. When I was a kid, it drove my mom nuts. “Why can’t you look at something without touching it??” I don’t know mom, but I’m 28 and still doing it.So imagine my excitement when I was in Goodwill and felt…drum roll, please…cashmere.  I couldn’t believe my fingertips, so I checked the tag. Yesssireebob, 100%, true-blue cashmere. It actually costs me more to dry clean this dress than it did to buy it. I’m OK with that. It’s simple and black and I’ll keep it forever.bjo1bjo4bjo3

Do you have that one piece that you found from Goodwill that you treasure?

Thanks for reading!

  1. So great to see a guest post from Brittany!
One of my favorite pieces so far is a green blazer/coat that I found. It wasn’t even an expensive brand (Forever 21 maybe?), but it is one of those things that I’ve always eyed in stores but couldn’t justify buying because I didn’t “need” it. Being able to finally add that to my wardrobe made my week!

  2. Love that dress!!
One of my favorite Goodwill item/s so far are the books I bought to decorate my tables with at my wedding. I found so really unique ones, and now I use them to decorate my coffee table and shelves at home! All for about $5.00.

  3. – 28? are you suuuuuure?
