Sometimes, the things you find at Goodwill need a little perking up–a paint job, the aid of a sewing machine. But, sometimes, you strike gold and find things that you love, just as they are.
Recently, my husband built some shelves with a little nook for our desk. When I saw this lamp, I knew that it was perfect. I love that it’s masculine, but still has a classic vintage look. $4.00. Makes him happy, makes me happy. Score.
I found these cute plastic mugs on the clearance rack for a quarter a piece. Dear people of Goodwill, why did these make it to the clearance rack?? They are amazing. Snatch them up? Why, I think I shall.
Hold your breath because this one is gonna rock your world. This leather, Tourister, carry on bag was $5.99. I can hardly grasp that, but I did. I did grasp it and I carried it home.
Isn’t it lovely? I think that is just the right word for it. I don’t mind working to up-cycle an item, but it’s always nice to find something that feels special to you, right off the shelf.
I found these sconces and I knew I had to have them. They are so appealing to me–the round shape with the graphic design inside. They have great potential, but they need a little prime and paint. The problem is, I’m really not sure what color to paint them. Friends, would you lend your opinion? I would love your input on this project. Roll out the advice…
Enjoying the Good Life,
P.S. I would love to see what you are doing with your Goodwill purchases! If you would like to see your projects on the next “Reader Redesign”, email your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org.
