Falling for Vintage Fashion

Oh, such a corny pun…but, I had to do it.

Did you catch my guest post at DC Goodwill Fashionista, yesterday? If not, I wanted to share it with you today. You may have seen some of these pictures in previous posts, but I’m looking at them in a new way. Fall is fast approaching and I am so excited. I’m pretty sure this is my favorite of all seasons–coffee, boots, pumpkin muffins.

This Fall, I am seeing vintage-inspired clothing everywhere. Do you know how excited that makes me? It’s basically my favorite style. It’s fun and classy at the same time. Except, I like the real-deal. Why pay retail prices for knock-off clothing when you can thrift for actual vintage pieces for a fraction of the cost? Goodwill is definitely my go-to place for these fashion treasures. Here are a few of my recent finds…

Adventure. That’s what this skirt makes me think of. I love the bright colors and I think it has a European vibe. The carry-on bag is also a well-loved Goodwill buy. I think the combo of the skirt and the bag is perfect. Of course it is–because it’s the perfect outfit for a road trip.

Love. This. Dress. Everything about it–the simplicity, it’s low-maintenance, the colors, the cut…want me to go on? I was flipping through dresses at Goodwill and when this beauty caught my eye–well, it was all over. I snatched it up and I think it’s been one of my favorite Goodwill clothing purchases.

This JCrew top and floral skirt are both Goodwill scores. When I found this skirt, I knew it had to come home with me. Guess what? It has pockets. Oh, yes it does. I am crazy over the combination of thin stripes with this bold floral.

I hope you feel inspired to spruce up your Fall wardrobe on a dime!

Enjoying the Good Life,
