I found this pillow sham and, after I got it home, I went to Anthropologie.com. I think it is very similar to the Woven Portuguese Bathmat. Except, Anthropologie wants $54. No, no, no…we can do this for less. Way less.
I bought a basic white towel for 2.99 at a local bed/bath store. You can use an old towel that you have at home, I just didn’t have one that I wanted to cut up. This is not the time to use your nice, fluffy towels. After all, it’s going under your feet…on the bathroom floor. Case closed.
I started by cutting off the “pillow pocket” backing on the sham.
Then, I pinned the towel and the sham–right sides together. (Don’t worry about cutting your towel, yet.)
I sewed the two pieces together, along the edge of the sham. This seems like a lot to put in your machine, but it really wasn’t bad.
I flipped it over, towel side up, and trimmed off the excess towel.
And, there you have it! Comfy and cute under your feet!
Enjoying the Good Life,
Kendra
