A Spring Wreath

Spring begins this month and my front door is ready! I’ve been brainstorming about my Spring wreath (Seriously. I think I had a dream about it the other night.) and I’m happy to be sharing it with you today…

I bought this dress at Goodwill to use as the main fabric. After all, a dress for less than $3 sure beats paying for fabric!

Cute, right? I cut it in strips and hot glued it to my wreath base.

Welcome to my fabric stash–this doesn’t even touch the madness. I picked out a few leftover fabrics that I thought would make cute flowers.

I made my flowers using the No Sew Fabric Flower tutorial from a few months ago. Then, I hot glued them to my wreath base. I followed the pattern of my chevron fabric to cut out little “flags”, which I think add dimension. Too easy.

Have you changed out the wreath on your door, yet? I’d love to see! Send me some pictures and I may post them on the blog. I’d love to do a round-up of Spring wreaths!

Enjoying the Good Life,

  11. Wow, loved the idea you used the dress for the main fabric, I really like it. Your flowers are so pretty, and love how they turned out. I have not started my wreath yet, I always feel so behind. Maybe it;s cause I don’t move like I use to. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday’s Best.
