Do you remember this sweater that I picked up at Goodwill?

I liked it, but it never suited me right. So, I decided to cut it up and start over. Oh, yeah…
I started by folding it in half and cutting up the center of the front. If you think I didn’t have a little hesitation cutting silk and cashmere, you are wrong. But, hey…I figured that I would live and learn.

Then, I folded each side under about an inch and pinned it. Really, I could have gone half and inch, but it worked.

I hemmed each side, but I don’t have a picture of that. Voila! Cardigan. I added to buttons that looked “grandmother-ish” to me (I like that).

And, that’s that. I think it’s much more functional now because I can throw it on over different outfits. I like to layer.

Enjoying the Good Life,
Kendra
