On Resolutions and a DIY Glittered Canvas

I’m not big on making resolutions, but there is something nice about knowing that you have a new year, a blank page, a fresh start. It’s a nice time to re-evaluate and set goals. Goals don’t always have to be specific like stop drinking caffeine or lose 20 pounds–although, if that’s what you want, go for it. It can be simple–spend less time online, cook healthier meals, drink more water. Make attainable goals, pat yourself on the back when you reach them and give yourself grace when you don’t.

When I made my Glittered Bottle for New Year’s Eve, I was ready to glitter everything. Ok, not quite (although, it’s a little addictive), but I did remember having these small canvases leftover from the Good Life Craft Night, so I decided to do a little art DIY.

I painted the canvas with a little Mod Podge and sprinkled on plenty of glitter.

I sat it on a shelf as a little sparkly reminder of my resolutions/goals/hopes for this new year.
