Oh, Deer…

From the moment I saw the diy deer head on 4 Men 1 Lady, I was captivated. Something about hanging an animal head on your wall that did not, in fact, once belong to a living, breathing animal, is so appealing. I think it’s chic and eclectic and, somehow, warm and personal. Anyway…

Did you make a floral letter after my post on Monday? If so, this is a great way to use your leftover foam board.

Download the template here.

Cut out the pattern…

and trace them onto your piece of foam board. Cut out your pieces using a craft knife. If you can find foam board without a glossy coating, it is much easier to cut.

Then, fit all your pieces together! You can use a picture hanging kit to attach it to the wall. I think I may attach mine to my bookcase.

I hope you have a great Wednesday!

Enjoying the Good Life,

Kendra

    Thanks!

  3. What an imaginative way to decorate. It looks great. I’m thinking it would be fun to embellish for holidays, too.

  4. I love this project! I totally did it myself a few years ago for my Bachelorette pad. I even made him a girlfriend by leaving out the horns and adding ears 😉 I used tissue paper and mod podge to give them a little color, and proudly hung them on my wall. Here’s my little deer couple if you’d like to take a peek (http://www.killerbdesigns.com/modern-deer-mounts/) Do you plan to leave yours white or give it some color?

  5. I think hanging an animal head on your wall that was never living is an excellent idea I have a template for this I just can’t decide where I should hang it. Your looks wonderful and thanks for the tip about the foam board without gloss. xx
