My Cleaning Schedule

I am not the most domestic person in the world. Don’t get me wrong– I like to craft (obviously), I like to feed my family nutritious meals, and I like a clean house. But, I don’t actually enjoy the process of cleaning. Then again, how many people do? Sometimes I get in a cleaning mood, but more times than not, I’d rather not scrub the tub. : )

I used to let it pile up and then do all my cleaning in one day–and, it would take all. day. long. I would let my laundry pile up and then spend an entire Saturday washing clothes. The problem with the style of housekeeping is that is leaves you exhausted once a week. My husband suggested that I just spend an hour a day cleaning instead of letting it pile up, so I wouldn’t get so tired (Don’t worry, he pulls his fair share in other ways.). He was so right. I made a chore schedule that I am sharing with you, so feel free to print it!

Maybe this sounds so crazy simplistic that you are laughing at me. And, if so, that’s totally fine. But, this works for me. I don’t stick to it every day, but it’s definitely easier when I do.

What is your cleaning routine? Any tips or suggestions? Send them my way!!

Enjoying the Good Life,

Kendra

  1. That’s a great list! I try to stick to mine, too. But right now I have so much laundry piled up…I just keep trying to pretend it isn’t there haha

Guess what I’ll be doing tonight?

Put on a great show and it won’t be as bad!

  2. I made one about a month ago! It helps me not get stressed out about cleaning everything and just focus on one thing at a time. Here’s mine:

Daily: one load of laundry, dishes

    Monday: bathrooms, grocery shop

Tuesday: vacuum, coupon at drugstores, clean toaster and microwave

Wednesday: bathrooms, monthly cleaning item, wash sheets

    Thursday: vacuum, bills, computer backup

    Friday: bathrooms, mop, dust

    Saturday: vacuum, coupon, monthly cleaning

    Monthly cleaning…
Week 1: ceiling fans, steam clean carpet
    Week 2: fridge, pantry
    Week 3: windows
Weed 4: SCRUB floors and tub, clean out car
