Mirror Makeover

I was browsing through Goodwill and saw this little giraffe mirror. You’d think it was for a baby’s room, but there was a note on the back about going to college, so…who knows. Either way, I thought it could use freshening up.

I painted it aqua with some leftover craft paint and used a pink Sharpie to draw on a herringbone-like design.

Can you tell I took these pictures at different times? Silly lighting.

To cover up the giraffe, I made some fabric flowers with leftover Amy Butler fabric that I had on my craft shelf and glued them down.

What do you think? I think it would be cute in a collage of art prints, pictures, etc. Also, why is it so hard to clean a mirror without leaving residue? Any tips on that?

Happy Monday and Happy April!

Enjoying the Good Life,

Kendra

  1. I love it, especially the fabric flowers! : )
I think I’d like the herringbone-like design painted in some, too. Maybe like grey or yellow?
I’m so stuck on yellow this spring…
