Hanging a Collage

This is my entryway. Bland, bland, bland. Right? For some time, I’ve envisioned a floor to ceiling collage on one wall. I’ve been saving (and creating!) art until recently, when I finally had enough.

It’s a tight space, so camera angles are a little weird, but I did the best I could! I measured the wall around the piano and taped out the measurements onto my living room floor. Then, I arranged the art within the tape until I had it where I wanted it.

Then, my sweet husband and I transferred it to the wall.

A lot of these pieces of art are special and meaningful to us. I love to look at the wall and take it all in.

I bought this E.E. Cummings quote right before I started writing this blog. It’s a good reminder and I love that I bought it with this blog in mind.

A photo strip of me and my man when we were in college. I bought the frame at Goodwill and mounted the strip on scrapbook paper…

A picture of our first dog, Jersey (miss that girl), and an anniversary card that my sister made me. She owns a print design shop that you should check out.

My husband took the picture on the right (he has a good eye and a talent with the camera) and I painted the stripes and chevron.

There you have it! Our method for hanging a collage. I love it. I love it even more than I thought I would when I was planning it out. It’s one of my favorite spots in the house. It took a while to collect everything, but it was so, so worth it. Some things are totally worth waiting for.

Don’t forget to enter the April giveaway! Fun floral things to celebrate Spring!

Enjoying the Good Life,

Kendra
