You can read the full tutorial on her fabulous dress transformation on her blog, The Olive Ant.

She is also working on a fabulous project to bring a sewing room to the downtown library. Kassie Mae said:
“Right now, we are working on identifying partners and finding donated sewing machines. Our goal to offer sewing machines and supplies, individualized sewing support from talented sewists, and a rack of clothes to be refashioned, at the Main Richland Library branch (Downtown).  This project will benefit everyone, from those seeking to improve their sewing skills to people seeking professional clothes for jobs. By offering free clothing to be refashioned and sewing support, anyone will be able to outfit themselves for work or play!”

Thanks for sharing!

Enjoying the Good Life,

  1. Holy Cow! What a fabulous idea…a sewing room! I am on the board of our local library, and I’m going to bring it up at our board meeting tonight. I would love to have a place where I could learn to sew, and I know there are women in town who could teach. Thanks for the great idea.

  2. Oh man, I moved too soon! A sewing group would have been so fun. And I love that dress. It looks completely different.
